Wat Roy Khol is one of the most distinctive temples here in Chiang Saen, largely because of the fully intact Buddha image. Yellow is the color that the Buddhist monks wear in Thailand, and is used at this temple on the chedi and the Buddha image.
This temple has been dated to the 13th century.
